The catted EL header I'm interested in. Do you have a dyno for that? Not sure about the exhaust as yet. Leaning towards ARK Grip.

I wasn't present for the tune. I'll ask our visiting HKS engineer if he has it available. The vehicle was tuned with the Catted header, and single exhaust. I believe it made 183 on the flash editor, on a Mustang dyno.

We are working on getting all dyno number for HKS products across the board but it will take a bit of time.

Originally we were going to do the install and I planned on a full thread / write up with pictures and such. Recently plans have changed. The kit will be installed by our visiting HKS staff at a different location to validate a few things for the US market vehicle. Once it is returned I'll post everything I can and get some decent pictures.

The kit should not cost anymore than the first version of the kit. I am still waiting on official pricing.

Thanks for the response. I'm guessing it comes with HKS tuning software... any chance they will offer it without tuning?

Given just how detail oriented HKS has been, and my experience with them the tune should be pretty good imo... However, this is America and we always want more.. lol

If the kit is popular enough in America it may warrant the possibility of a "pro" kit without tuning. That's not saying one would have to use the flash editor if they have another tuning option and wish to turn up the wick a bit if it's only available with the flash editor.

Absolutely. The 15004-AT008 is better suited for FI applications. You can mount the core wherever you like.

I have the header installed.
The top speed of the 86 is with the header 165 mph, without header 157.
Same road and conditions. I was not on the dyno.

And the most important point is that the torque dip is nearly complete eliminated!

So, go and buy it!

Do you have any issues with the O2 sensors and the ECU? I only ask because I've read in this forum of the ECU having issues reading the header(sending errors).

No, no problems.
The 86/FRS has two catīs. Usually the sensor which send the info to the ECU is behind the first cat. If you install the header you have to change the position of this sensor to behind the second cat. All you need comes with the parts of the header. But you have to drill a hole into the center pipe (behind the second cat) and weld in a "weld in nut", but as I sad this is inclusive in the kit and not a big problem.

The result is no warn signal, still good values for the exhaust gas test and a smooth running engine.

I have not adjust any setting of the ECU, so it works also good without.

Hi 20mbps:

Is that a bypass valve near the intake on the kit?
