No, they're unveiling the "Subaru BRZ STI Concept" in LA. It's similar to the production model with the exception for fender flares, side cameras, quad exhaust...etc, you get the idea. Both Toyota and Subaru are reserving the Tokyo Auto Show for their final reveal. The BRZ STI Concept should hold us till then.

Ah I see so it's kinda like how Toyota had the FT86 G concept.

What looks great to us is that it’s a bit of a spartan interior (compared to the average offering in late model cars) so that the focus is clearly on the driving experience. For example, the tachometer is front and center and the largest gauge, the shifter is close and readily at hand, and the pedal placement will allow for easy heel-toe driving. We dig it.

And a partially revealed real life photo for reference:

I notice it does tell you what gear you are in even in the Manual transmission models! Notice this guy is in 3rd gear and 46 MPH! Nice!

46mph in 3rd gear at around 2350 rpms... thats fishy cause if my maths right....
2350_____ 7500___ 2350x__ 345000 x = 146.808 mph at 7500 rpms in 3rd gear...
-----_ =__ -----__ ------ = -------
46_________ x____ 2350____ 2350

so what im trying to say is, either this thing is geared so redicuously big we wont be able to use the power or...... its just a guy sitting in the car is not actually moving and the outside is just edited in with lighting to give the effect that hes outside and the mirrors reflect nothing but sky because the mirrors are pointed up and almost at himself, who looks at themselves when driving a car like this with a side mirror.... just saying

EDIT
plus my celica gts revs to 8400 rpms 6 speed at 46 mph im somewhere above 4k rpms in 3rd... thats what threw me off....

It could be 46kmh = 27mph = 86mph at redline in 3rd gear.

I think that if he really was doing 46 MPH with the wheel turned that much his face would be much more excited than it is.... Spaceywilly's guess seems spot on.

But it's left hand drive. >.>

Anyway, that would mean a 5.862((2350RPM/844)/(28.5/60)) ratio in 3rd, which is 9% taller than 3rd gear in the 6spd NC Miata(3.909x1.645=6.43).
At least it's more believable than 46mph @ 2350RPM in 3rd gear. X.X

England has LHD vehicles...and this was from the UK magazine review IIRC.
