How do you like it? Is there a noticeable gap where the reverse lockout is?

I love it under spirited driving, can up/down shift faster. I don't notice any gap between reverse lockout lever, I believe this knob was made for this car.

Is the button functional?

Yes, it activates the VTEC.

In all seriousness though, it's just for looks. I asked Chris if he could paint it on to look like like, he did me one better and pressed in a different piece to make it actually look like one. It's a great conversation starter.

Is there a way to bypass the reverse lockout ring? I know it's there for safety, but it annoys me when I have to use it and it makes that "pop". My old Z28 had the same pattern with no lockout in it.

Was the new knob heavier at all? I've been looking at replacing my Perrin fat knob with this bit I love the weight of it and don't want to sacrifice it.
