ft86 no longer sells catless items?

I went on ft86 today to look at header options and noticed all the headers were catted and there were no longer catless options. So i went to front pipes to see if there were any cat-less front pipes and they are also not available. Just curious as to what is going on here? if its legal issues couldnt it be as simple as having a check box saying this is not for street purposes but for track or offroad uses?

Interesting. They kinda ditched the forum it seems so would need to email or hit them up on social media I guess.

But I'll tag them just in case @FT-86 SpeedFactory

Didn't they recently move their shipping operations? That could be a reason. As well, there have been times in the past where certain things inexplicably disappeared. So it could also be a glitch on their site.

It would have nothing to do with being in California unless they got the cat CARB approved with an EO number, and I doubt that is the case.

Wasn’t there a aftermarket company that just got nailed by the EPA for providing non emission compliant components?

Perrin dropped their stuff around the cats a while back too, only list a cat-back exhaust now (no over pipe or front pipes at all).

Maybe the people that make them realized there was very little demand, and that they were selling 10s of them a year, and quit?

I would hazard a guess that many more catless exhaust components are sold for this car vs catted. Maybe frontpipes are 50/50 but I can say besides stock I have never seen a catted header being ran on someone's car in real life.
