Edelbrock and UEL tune. Open flash tablet?

I am looking into getting the edelbrock supercharger for my 2015 FRS, I have a UEL on the car already and Im assuming the tune that comes with the edelbrock kit is only for a stock car. After I install the kit is there a way to get a base tune with the UEL? I have an open flash tablet, would I just have to do remote tuning with them and they will create me a base tune?

also, if anyone has an edelbrock and went with OFT, id like to know your opinion on the tune!

You will need to get a tuner who is willing to do open flash. My advise with forced induction sell the open flash and invest in ecutek. Much better for FI applications. This will open you up for much more tuners and good remote tuning options

I am thinking I might buy the kit that includes the ECUtek tuner. Thanks for your input.

If you don't live in a state that uses carb rules save your money and get custom tune. The stock tune is made for the stock header with a cat. While the base tune will run with your UEL with not cat but it might run rough and driveability will be affected.

But you just said i should probably go with ecutek, the edelbrock kit comes with the ecutek tuner.

Im So confused about this.. What am I getting when i buy the edelbrock with tune? A hand held tuner i can only use once for the carb legal tune?

You say invest in ecutek, am i not investing in ecutek by buying the kit with included tuner? If ecutek is not a hand held tuner then what do i need to install the tune?

Buy the non carb kit aka tuner and get your ecutek with tune from tuner.

EcuTek is just a way of flashing the ECU. The tune that comes from Edelbrock is done via EcuTek but what @jflogerzi is saying is that you can buy a more custom tune from any EcuTek tuner. Plenty of reading up I would suggest

You can use open flash tablet if you choose to. Most tuners will not use the platform due to it being open and their tunes contain their own custom cabliration. All I am saying save yourself the headache and sell the open flash tablet and use that money to buy ecutek...

Kinda but it's a closed platform and requires a laptop and software to flash the ecu

The OFT guys do tune edelbrock sc, but its a cusrom tune you have to buy separatly think its aprox $300 they give you base tune then you log and they adjust and review
