Removing Airbag Warning Stickers

Has anyone attempted to remove the horrid looking yellow red and black airbag warning stickers from their sun visors? I heard that a heat gun and some goo-gone afterwards has potential, but these suckers really seem to be tacked on there well. Just looking into whether its possible or not before I end up with some terrible looking visors or something.

Also, I have read that this is actually not illegal. Manufacturers are required to put them on and I think you might actually need them if you want to resell the vehicle at some point, but definitely not the same as cutting the tag on your mattress

i plastidipped mine - easy and completely reversible. I think they're part of the visor itself, not stickers.

Oh, cool. What color did you plastidip them? Did you do anything else in the cabin?

When I checked the other day it seemed to me like they were similar to like an iron on sticker. Maybe not though.

People have removed them but not with good results. You are better off to just recover the whole visor, there is a DIY on how to properly take them apart to re-wrap them.

Same here. I used a sticky on one side, thin, flat black, wanna be felt on the other side piece to cover them up. It can be found at most craft stores.

Do you feel this way because you don't use your visors or because its not an important piece?

I do use my visors, and I do see them as a (relatively) important and functional piece, but my comment above was specifically directed at the $200+ JPM coachworks set. For what it offers and what it costs, it is pretty extreme eye candy. Not doubting that it's made of quality materials or that the construction quality isn't superb.

I agree on cost vs. function, I use mine a lot but don't know if I could justify the cost. I was just curious.
