Whine when accelerating
2013 FR-S AT

my transmission did that for a while. Not sure why, it got back to being quiet before i found out what's was it. XD

I can't hear any whine because of the exhaust.
I don't have an AT for comparison .. so why am I posting ..  humfrz gets a

'Tis a RWD car with paper towel soundproofing so you will hear noises you are not used too hearing. All is good.
Or... My wife is riding with you since she is well known to whine, grip the edge of the seat, yell at me or even close her eyes and turn white when I am accelerating.

its the tranny. I hear it too sometimes when everything is cold (not sure that has anything to do with it) but if it whines up with your speed rather than rpms then its tranny.
