Shift kit for auto transmission

Transgo makes a shift kit for our transmission.

http://www.transgo.com/products.php?...&parent_id=172

Same kit for the Tacoma. Haven't done it yet but will most likely put the kit in both the FRS and the Tacoma...

I was looking for a shift kit for the truck and than decided to ck for the car and it's the same kit...

Right now I just run full synthetic fluid and about 40% dexron III to to stiffen up the shifting and harder lock up...

Here's the first result from Google: https://www.mistertransmission.com/what-are-shift-kits/

TLDR: It removes shifting overlap between gears to increase shifting speed, which decreases wear of clutches and seals and improves fuel economy.

Having driven an automatic BRZ, I feel like the shifting is pretty quick. Obviously not dual clutch quick, but not slushy or slow by any means. I'd be interested to hear about the results if you end up doing it.

looks interesting.
I am at the stage of my build where i am highly considering building my tranny. Been looking at the SSP high stall converter, valve body ,and clutch pack, this kit could be a good addition to those. or I wonder if i did converter, valve body, and shift kit (already have trans cooler) how much torque the tranny could reliably hold, might not need to do the clutch pack to reliably hold 350ft lbs, seems like the clutch pack is the hardest and most costly to install.

Ooh cool, thx for the info! I didn't think googling it would help since the words seemed so generic. Are there many producers of upgrades for this AT?

This shift kit,
And SSP makes a high stall torque converter ( roughly 3k rpm)
a stage 1 and 2 valve body,
and a clutch pack.

No worries, I wasn't calling you out, I was just providing a source of knowledge.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...installed.html

some info from someone who installed this

very tempting to see how this would pair with a valve body since you remove valve body to install anyways.
