How are these drop range measurements to be interpreted?
New coilovers came in with actual specs, which I greatly appreciate as my last set did not. As I have been suffering from about a year with terrible ride quality of the previous, I am looking to doing things right this time around with prep and installation.
So, I'm scratching my head looking at lines in the manual that read: Dimensional Data and Ride Height (for Front) Long Bracket Set Recommended height (mm) | 10 Normal Drop Range (mm) | -25 ~ -30 Bracket Length adjustment range (mm) | +5 ~ -40 Normal range from factory (mm) | +15 ~ -40 Being as I cannot physically take a ruler and take a negative measurement without crossing into an alternative dimension (jokingly), how should these numbers be interpreted?

Those just look like ranges of how you can set the ride height compared to stock... what coilovers are they?

RS*R Sport i's just came in. Still in the low-end (just under $2K) but these are going to be a huge upgrade from what I'm coming from. I'm SUPER excited to get these suckers on.

They are measurements on the shock assembly for where to adjust the cartridge in the end fitting, if there's no diagram in the instructions showing what they're measuring maybe email their support.
The negative and positive probably refer to raising and lowering respectively and are based off the factory set height of the dampers as they come out of the box. |
