Yes once you take the door panel off and the window out you can replace the slide and glides that have come off so that it will not scratch the glass again.

I'm in! Maybe add a simple yes/no poll to the OP to have a better gauge of interest.

Alright looks like we are going to be able to do this. Early estimate is looking like $260 Shipped. I will provide more info when we get the parts in and ill make a little video on how to install and how to fix the guides to stop them scratching the windows.

California law says something like the front windows (window or window + film) must have a light transmittance of 70% and have no film that is fixed to the window that blocks more than 88% of light on its own. The stock green glass is like 77%. Just FYI.

The only difference between the stock green tint and ours is that we made it grey tint instead of green. There is no film on it, it is a factory style tint but in grey. It reflects the light differently to appear darker. If you look at the picture I posted you can see that. But thanks for the info all states are different on tint laws, like in Florida Im pretty sure you can tint your whole front windshield lol.

Yea I saw that, and know there is no film, which is an advantage because a darker light transmittance can be achieved while staying compliant. For instance, most light tint when added to the green glass will surpass the maximum.

Reflecting the light at a certain maximal percentage is also a law like the obvious that mirror style tints can’t be used in California. I’m just putting that out there for anyone.

So this is mainly for people who don’t want to deal with tint related scratches, peeling or bubbles?

That and for people like me who live in a state that doesn't allow any tint on the side windows to have a "tinted" factory look, and for people who can tint to have a better looking tint by eliminating the green in the glass. Also a lot of our cars have scratched door glass, like mine. When you take the window out you can replace the guides that wear out and cause the scratches. Also the glass we made for the Tacoma's was about 2lbs lighter a piece than stock so there is a little bit of weight reduction.
