LHD 3-meter gauge-pod?
By chance, has anyone seen whether or not somebody's making a gauge-pod setup, similar to this one, for left-hand-drive cars?
Edit: ...and I have NO idea why there's a grinning face next to my thread title. I certainly didn't intend to put it there. Last edited by TuxedoCartman; 10-06-2012 at 07:54 AM. |

Nice place for a gauge pod. Wish it blended in with the dash better. Also, is that where the passenger side air bag deploys from?

You want your gauges to be in your field of view, you dont want to have to look to the passenger side when you wanna see whats going on. I think an A-Pillar gauge or steering column gauge setup is best. Clean looking setup though.

I have a company that is in process of making it! We are going to have it ready for SEMA. ALthough i will probably not be putting gages in it.

There are airbags in both A pillars. I would not put guages there without removing those airbags.

This is why I was attracted to this design. Is it an ideal place for viewing? No. Is it one of the only places available without removing airbags or your radio (like the TRD kit does)? Yes.

I still want to look into using a head unit with a full LCD screen and use that for gauges but I don't want to stick a whole computer in my car.

Reminds me of the good ol' supra. I've seen it on a few FR-S's though.
