I don't know if it's the same issue or not, but I'm getting some sort of harmonic at 70 MPH and a similar noise (although more cyclical sounding as opposed to constant) at 35 MPH. It really detracts from the car on highway trips and must be addressed for me to consider myself satisfied with the car.

I had a tech at my dealership check mine out and he can hear the noise but cannot determine what it is. He had me keep track of when I heard it,speed, gear, clutch position, etc.

I noticed that the turn signals are not solidly mounted and move a little if you push on them. I wonder if when I get up to speed that the force of the air is pushing them in a little and creating the noise.

People that have been in the car with me don't notice it until I point it out. Once I do, they notice it right away.

Please please give the steering wheel more telescope adjustment for taller drivers like myself with long legs. That's the one thing that keeps me from buying an FR-S AND i'd really like to have one. Thank you.

-Tire Performance (Wear, Noise, Handling)

In my opinion, the tires are excellent for a stock car. I say this as having had raced the car on the track at an HPDE event. Sure, putting stickier tires would enhance the trackability of the car, but the car is tons of fun on the track with the current stock rubbers on her.

-Other Noise/Vibration

I am getting what sounds like wind whistling through the window right behind my head in the driver's door. Also hear harmonic sounds from the front left while driving at highway speeds and it's utterly annoying.

-Rear Seat Function (... troll question? haha)

Useless. Build a rear bin like the FD Mazda RX-7s had, and offer it as an option for future FRS/BRZs and put it up in the parts bin for us to buy.

-Vibration (Steering Wheel, Pedals, Floor, Seat, etc)

Strangely enough, and this happens along with the harmonic noise I hear from the front left... I can feel the vibration in my gas pedal while the noise is present. Tire or wheel issue perhaps?

-Vehicle Handling (Alignment, Road-Handling, Stability)

Handling is amazing for a stock car, and this is coming from a track perspective. Easy to control, easy to keep at its limits, and from an instructor's perspective, has a lot of rear grip available. And a GT-R driver even tossed her around and gave it a thumbs up ^.^

Off the track, traction control is great... I've had it save my ass on freshly rained-upon roads a couple of times. The car can swing around on you if you're not careful, but that's what this car is made for.

VSC Sport mode for traction control is also great. Amazing training tool for the track, since it does not kick in too soon and allows you to toss the car around. It, too, has saved me from going into the wall when I pushed the limit too far and the car started to swing towards the wall. VSC kicked in at the right moment and helped me realign the car down the track.

Keep doin what you're doin for the traction control. Good safety tool and good training tool.

-Engine Performance (Feel, noises, etc)

Chirping noise. Some have said this may be the fuel pump. Personally I do not know. Also, I had an ignition coil throw a code while on the highway. Had it checked by toyota, who called a service rep from Headquarters and they were told to clear the code and test drive the car. The code did not come back so everything was good. Still, it's something to keep an eye on.

-Brakes (Noise, Performance, Pedal Feel)

Brakes do not provide any "bite." In other words, no matter how hard I press on the brakes, ABS will not engage.

I'm hearing that harmonic at 70 MPH as well. Seems to come from the back.

-Exterior Parts/Panels (Fitment, Gap, Wheel/Tire Size, Design of Wheels, etc)

The front bumper on mine as well as a few other members isn't seating properly at the headlights. Needs more of a positive attachment to hold it in.

This
Attachment 11138

Should be this
Attachment 11139

It seems like the forward most tab doesn't sit down far enough.

I think this is IMPORTANT.

I bought my car, and after paperwork was finished, we found that a portion of the frame in the trunk was damaged. The only fix offered by the dealership and TOYOTA, is to cut the section out of the car and have it replaced. My car had 10 miles on it when the damage was found, Cutting the car up to fix this doesn't seem like the best idea to me. I would honestly rather leave the damage then let a "Dealer Preferred" body shop touch the car. I don't even get to choose my own body shop for this? Really?

Can you tell me exactly what part of the QA process this was overlooked in? Should I be looking for other items like this on the car?
