you won't see a difference in any games. I have a 3900x 3080 system and 5900x and 6900xt system and there is no perceptible difference. Shoot, even the 2060 super and 1600AF in my living room offer a fantastic experience and I'm hard pressed to tell the difference unless it's 4k or incredibly demanding games.

Well the GPU in question has been discontinued by Gigabyte. The problem apparently is "corrosions issues due to the use of mixed metals and cheap production methods"

No wonder it's been 3 months and my card still hasn't been replaced.

PSA: If any one on here has a Gigabyte 3080 Waterforce, watch out for corrosion.

It's not an official recall at the moment. Sounds like Gigabyte trying to do damage control first. But I'll certainly attempt a refund. $1200 is nothing to sneeze at for a shoddy product

uhh. I was getting $600 offers for my ryzen 2600+/16gb/rx980/1tb pcie3 m2 system... I had no idea that was such an insane lowball price...

No, I was just pointing out the ridiculousness of the guy that made the post about a "Gaming" computer that had nothing that was even remotely useful for gaming, maybe RGB components because adding LED strips to components makes them gaming components. Not to mention, no GPU. He also tried to sell an old 1060 for $500 about a month ago.
