I just did this today. It's not a 30min DIY.
In the shop, with a lift, I can see it taking 30 min if the tech is fast. |

That's the first thing I did to my car, tranny & diff fluid. It's not hard to do but don't forget new crush washers, and I just used Subaru fluid for the diff and AMSOIL for the tranny. You need a way to get the fluid into the fill holes, so some kind of fluid pump is required. Can't just pour it in. I have one of these:

Thats nothing. The fluid flush is done in such a specific way on the AT that it costs about 400 and a few hours of your life at the dealer for the change.

Do you have a jack, jack stands, and a drain pan? It isn't a difficult DIY. There are threads in the DIY section for it. Motul bottles have a spout; other bottles will need a pump of some sort.
Cost breakdown: 4 qts Motul 300: $80 2 diff crush washers: ~$5 1 hour labor If you already have all the tools, that's it. Also, the trans fluid comes out sideways. If you aren't prepared it can get messy. |

FYI Mine took ~1.5h on a garage floor w/ jackstands. Hardest part was getting the car level front to back and side to side in a non-level garage.
This is not a hard DIY - Just follow the steps. You will be proud of yourself when you are done |
