Totally thinking about picking up a set of these!
Does any1 have the size for the clutch slave cylinder? It would be nice to do that at the same time! |

No you dont need to take out all the fluid, just screw out the oem bleeder valve and some fluid will come out, screw the new one in, do the same for all wheels, then just do a quick bleed to try them out and make sure no air is in the system. To bleed simply unscrew the new bleeder valve out a 1/4 of a turn or maybe a bit more and pump away the brake pedal, then lock the valve.

I'm going to give the Earl's Solo-Bleed 280041ERL a try. I already spoke with a tech there over the phone and he said it was a nickel alloy. The design is a little different than the SB1010 (and SB1010-SS) but it should still remain a one man job. The ones sold by Russell (part #639560 looks like a SB1010) appear to be identical to the Speed Bleeder dot com ones. I'm guessing they are the same? Looking at the bag and hose combo from both companies, they appear to be identical (same writing and font on bag). Unfortunately, Russell doesn't sell a stainless version. It looks like regular steel that may or may not have been galvanized. It's too bad because I can get Russell through my work, but I'm not interested in the regular steel version. |

I bought some of these, shipped them to Australia, went to install them, size was wrong..
(website i got them off listed them for my car) so, they are in the bin, cost too much to ship them back.. good idea though!

Speedbleeder.com has M7x1.0 in 30.22 length (SB7100S) and 35.15 length (SB7100). Would it be better to order the longer, 35.15 length? |

Took mine out and measured ~24.5 mm overall length. M7 - 1.0 is the correct thread though. Another thread mentioned that the ~30 mm works well. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117198 |

I have speed bleeders on my car. They're longer than stock ones, but it fits the thread and when tightened they seal. Favorite mod next to the oil drain valve. The part is "SB1010-SS SB1010-SS / 9409, H9409, 9410, H9410, 9412, H9412 Speed Bleeder" on the site

I searched the entire internet for the bleeder screw size for replacements and this is where I found out that the bleeder screw size for BRZ/Toyota 86/FRS is M10x1.0 front and rear.
When I went to the auto parts store or RockAuto they provide a list of a bunch of different sizes and repair kits. Now I can order the right size. Thanks. |
