I feel like I mentioned this in the new WRX thread in regards to the design of their fenders, but has anyone really noticed that the side skirts and wing on the second gen are entirely removable, while still looking integrated? I mean, the first gen, and historically, people have had to attach aero kits with double sided tape, screws/rivets, or they would have to mold body kits to the medal body, but these new cars seem to be manufactured where the parts can be properly replaced with an integrated side skirt or spoiler instead of tacking something on. The OEMs are able to add a normal or duckbill wing without have to tape, rivet holes, or drill holes, and we don’t have to swap to a new trunk without holes or have to drill holes for aftermarket wings. There is the potential to add a large winged spoiler that has an integrated cover, so it doesn't look like someone cut into the hood or had to drill.

Where are these designs? They seemed to be missing at the SEMA event here. Where are the options? Are manufactures just unaware of this and missing this obvious design opportunity?
