cars are so much of a global economy i dont think it even makes sense to think like that. the most american car (last time i checked) is a toyota. if american cars are good enough for toyota, and toyotas are good enough for you, how are american cars not good enough for you?

They aren't good enough for me because they still lack the most basic of features. Interior materials are still crap. Their resale value still drops like a drunk chick with implants in a very deep lake. Every time a new model comes out that intrigues me, I go check it out and I leave disappointed. The only American car I have considered is a Mustang 5.0, but everyone and their mother has one which kills it for me. There are no decent American sports cars.

What's funny is the Whitlow car dealership group here in VA had a Chevrolet dealership next to their Lexus branch but lost it due to politics and the end result is they'll be alot better off with only Lexus now. I wish things weren't so political but they are.
I am sure some one else responded to your nonsense but if no one has yet...yur post was nonsense and the only "fact" may be your observation about your local Lexus dealer but you wouldn't know that it without seeing their books. So really, nothing you said was useful or factual. Government does not control GM's business/planning decisions.

Nothing, that person was just spouting out opinion.

opinions are fine. i have them too, but when you say you cant get basic options from american cars, its not an opinion. baseless opinions are even alright with me. i just get frustrated when use "facts" to support their claim. were all obviously biased toward the frs/brz and likely japanese cars. saying that american cars cant offer you basic features on an frs forum is short sighted to say the least.

They actually come with better than basic features that I like. I love the HID's and Nav standard.

As far as basic, I like the little things like auto headlights, auto up/down windows and such.

In regard to the BRZ though, it doesn't need the features since it is such a fun car that gets great mileage which is what I needed right now. I have driven pretty much any affordable american performance car and I ended up buying a Corvette. It turned out to have nothing but problems which couldn't overcompensate for the pure acceleration and handling excellence that it had.

I love cars that aren't around every corner too which is why I have owned cars that I have in areas that I have. I would be willing to give up a lot to grab a rare car. ^_^

I will say though that one of my favorite american cars was the G8 GT which means this one will still be fun to drive, just not for me. It will get the chance to surprise me though!

You know it's kind of funny when people respond to my comments on this specific thread. The responder never actually offers a constructive point of view it always "your nonsense" or some other random bullshit that doesn't serve any purpose other than name calling. GM fanboys are amusing.

I'm not a GM fan boy. I am a public policy and economics graduate school alumni and write/review legislative policies for a living. So I happen to know a lot of "constructive" things about this.

I have never owned or considered buying a GM, ever btw.
