I don't hate the Coyote.. I'd love the voodoo engine if they didn't blow up so often lol
Not to say I didn't enjoy my 2018 LT1 SS 1LE.. and I certainly enjoy the stupidity of my LT4 ZL1 1LE.

My friend also has a 2018 LT1 SS 1LE he let me drive. I was pretty impressed. Might be a contender if I lived in Florida. But even that is far too serious for me just messing around on back roads.

I went ahead and attached the photo from the day I took it home..
Can't go wrong with a Challenger, I think they look fantastic. The front end on the newest generation is perfect. I love the amber running lights and the way the grille is set back under the hood. You've got a point on muscle cars going away.. they'll all probably become more of the 'pony car' that the Mustang and the Camaro has evolved into (better handling specifically. Camaro takes the trophy on handling as they feel much smaller than their curb weight would have you think). Quote:

That's a fair argument. The LT4s are higher displacement yet more compact. However I've heard that they come pretty well 'tapped out' from the factory, and that it can be difficult to add power easily/reliably unlike the earlier LS series motors. That's somewhat to be expected as the LT4 is making more power than most LS powered vehicles did from the factory though. I also prefer the 5.0 sound to the 6.2 LT4, but sound is subjective. The voodoo engine on the other hand..

A Challenger on the other hand was always a Muscle car even though they tried to slot it into the Pony class for a bit. The only Mopar I personally would ever call a Pony car would be the Duster and they did away with those beauties a long long time ago.

The best mustang noises still come from the terminators IMO. |

Gotcha, that makes sense that the terminology originated with the Mustang. I was confusing the Pony Car term with the evolution from the Pony Car formula to a more traditional sports car formula (stiffer suspension and more capable in cornering, which the newer gen Camaros are probably superior). I've heard that GM did a fantastic job of making the car feel much lighter than it actually is, which I can't say is true with the Mustang with personal experience.

I have no experience with them, just going off of what I've read. Perhaps they meant that there were issues creating "big power" not just "more power". Or I could have read something from someone who had just incorrectly repeated what someone else said like a game of telephone, and the truth just got misrepresented.
