Has anyone jumped ship yet? New sti looks quite appealing... I want to see how it looks in SWP. However, I want a smaller spoiler perhaps.
Not sure what you mean by "jump ship" but how can you compare the two when there is a $10-15k price difference between the two.

That's a pretty big increase... and while it would have been nice, it's a bit of a stretch to realistically hope for that kind of firepower in a time when we are facing stricter emissions regulations and fuel economy targets while not making the car too pricey -- the CLA45 AMG has that luxury since it's a Benz and can carry that kind of a price tag with that kind of motor.

I think a 2.5L DIT definitely could make 340 chp reliably and easily if subaru would take engine performance r&d seriously for their flagship sporty car.

Fact is the EJ257 is decade old technology that is notoriously bad on the OEM tune. Hell I would take the new 2.0L DIT in the WRX over the EJ257 with their OEM tune. This is a big STI fan typing too (I have owned two).

Doesnt FA20 in BRZ have the ability to rack up to 500whp on pump or race? Well, what is more amazing was fullblown couldnt actually blow the engine, so they gave up and dropped a built motor?

Somebody have a clearer idea about fullblown BRZ ?

Even so, that would make it easily do 350-400 whp on pump gass ?

Hell .....that motor in a 26k awd sport sedan ? I will snatch one up ASAP. Also, i would do CVT all day....because i had been riding manual for 12 years....would love the new change...dont hate me.

I like the looks and some of the suspension new bits, but no thanks with the same old 305 chp EJ257.

They are? I was curious about which engine they will be using... I was hoping for a fa20 variant or something.

They can be compared because they are both sports cars and $10-$15k is not that too big of a difference. They still are both sub $50k cars and I think a decent amount of people here can afford that. I would be stretching my pockets were I to go for it but I reckon it could be done.

You are missing the point. If you can buy a second car with the difference in price I wouldn't say they are in the same category.

BRZ vs 2015 WRX STI

I don't care, the 15 STI ,hands down, will blow a BRZ away in terms of pure driving excitement. Still there is just some kind of charm to the BRZ. I miss the heck out of my 07 stage 2 STI but that was then and this is now. BRZ is just a beautiful little car.

I came from an 08 stage 1 protune and can honestly say I have no regrets at all. The BRZ feels faster in day to day driving thanks to much better suspension, lower seating position, less weight, and no turbolag.

As far as the 15 sti goes, if it's got anywhere near the problems with ringlands that the +07's do, I would stay far away. Considering it's the same engine and Subaru never figured out the cause, I'm going to guess it will, but I hope I'm wrong!
