thats awesome, build specific tunes! now we talkin! if they make an exhaust, that would be a neat test too.

I would like to ask if you could consider the perrin drop in dual-foam filter as one of the test setups for those of us not yet convinced that hp gains is worth any of the aftermarket boxes. If you need a perrin exhaust sent to you, I can send you mine, along with my air filter. just repack it really nice and send it back. I'd like nothing more than my tune to be based on my build, know wha ah mean?

how are you doing with cable rotation? should I be sending you a paypal send money on this or do you invoice me? any ETA on when you can take, and fulfill my order, with a loaner cable, John?

Originally I was on the e85 tune. That was the worst.

Then I swapped to the stock tune, and that had one violent power cut and some mild bogging.

Now I'm on 1.02....

So I noticed the bog today in several gears when I tried to give it WOT at around 2K RPM. It was a violent bog, to the point that I was afraid it was going to stall out the motor.

I checked all the fittings on the intake, put it back together again, disconnected the battery to reset, then let it idle for a few minutes. Took it out for a drive and still had a bog. Shut off my AC, drove around some more, and tested it out again - no bog whatsoever. Turned my AC back on, tested it out - still no bog. Whats up with that? Perhaps I just needed to let it run for a while after the reset?

I'm on the 1.02 93 STG1 map. Only performance mods are AIRAID intake, Visconti flash, and Perrin lightweight crank pulley.

Those of you who experienced violent bogging, was your AC on?

It does take some time for the ECU to build new maps.

No, my ac wasn't on.

The ECU doesn't build maps, it just updates some A/F correction values. Think of a row in a spreadsheet rather than a spreadsheet itself.

Anyone else noticing the bog seems worse when the engine is cold?

Anyway to much trouble went back to the stock intake until someone sorts this out.

A/c doesnt make a difference for me. The first time a big bog happened the a/c was on. The second time, the a/c was off.

This may have been what I noticed today - it was a couple minutes after I had started the engine. Perhaps it had nothing to do with the AC at all but more to do with the fact that the engine was warm by the time I noticed the bogging gone.

For all the doubters out there, I have finally been able to catch the bogging on video.

1st gear take off, violent bog, 60-75% throttle:

Fresh shift bog, WOT, no power:

Shift to 2nd bog, WOT, jerking:

I understand @David@Airaid.com offered to let me ship my intake to them to let them test it, but unfortunately, that will put me beyond the return period that @AJUSA.com offers. I don't want to run the risk of losing 250$ on the chance that the 2nd intake causes the same issues.

I'm now going to send John some more comparison logs between this intake and stock.

Also, attached are pics of the install. Please let me know if I've missed anything....
