One thing I hate is that the FR-S 10 Series is a 2013 while the 10 Series tC is a 2014 ditto for the iQ.

The glove box is small and can't fit anything in there. The sun visor doesn't have an extender. The Nav auto finds the street and doesn't let me type it in manually which annoys me.

The only real issue I have is that the blind spots are pretty bad. Especially on the driver side if your tall as I have to have my seat all the way back being 6'2 and so I feel like I need to stick my head out the window to check my blind spot ha.

Wing the side mirrors way out. Most people have them pointing down the side of their car, which means the side mirrors and the rear view mirror have a lot of overlap. I have mine set to where the side mirrors are just picking up an object as it's being lost from the rear view mirror, which greatly increases my field of vision to the sides of my car. And by the time the object is being lost from the side mirror, it's in direct line of sight with a simple head turn.

Now if there's someone right next to me just behind my door, they are squarely in my side mirror. It does take some getting used to, but it's much better for visibility. For the record, I'm 6'5" and my seat is all the way back.

A good way to get the initial placement is to lean your head all the way left until it's on the glass, then adjust the left mirror until you can barely see the car. Then lean your head to about the center of the car and adjust your right mirror until you can barely see that side. From there you just fine tune as you drive to get the right angle.

Started doing my mirrors like this a few years ago, and I will never adjust my mirrors the "conventional" way again. This method is much more efficient and just makes more sense. Only downside is you can't use 'em to parallel park or reverse park more accurately without having to adjust them or move your head way over, but it's worth it

That is true, I can't back in for shit now if I just use my mirrors. I wish our side mirrors would automatically tilt down when you're in reverse. That's my gripe about this car.

Yeah, I'm gonna get a back-up camera soon. I got spoiled on it with my truck. Made parallel parking that behemoth a piece of cake. Can't wait to have that same level of confidence and visibility on my FR-S. Just need to find a good, inconspicuous area to have it installed...

You can just install it like how it gets installed in BRZ-next to the handle which opens the boot. It doesn't stand out at all.

OK Toyota didn't outsource just the manufacturing of the car. Subaru did the heavy lifing and was involved in the engineering. Toyota mainly did the concept and styling. We own a Subaru with Toyota DS-4.

@dnieves Foreal, you think Toyotas don't have issues? Better to have a rattly interior than a sticky gas pedal, and I take it you haven't been reading about the MILLIONS of Toyotas recalled for possible airbag failure among other safety issues?

And the spark plugs being difficult to change is a Boxer engine thing, no way around it. If it's a deal-breaker, then you have plenty of other options to choose from. Plus you should only have to do it once, maybe twice, during the life of the car

For seriously. It's not we have to drop the engine like you would in a carrera. All you need is the proper combination of socket extensions and u-joints.
