helpful answer...

btw i asked because i have looked around and have been looking around. regamasters i've seen have always been more expensive than $1200... and its always been this way since the mid/late 90s. prices for these wheels went up more after Spoon released their rebadged versions as the SW388's back then too.

Why do you specifically want 17X8.5s???

I seen 17x9 and does not look promising. Don't feel like spending 2k on wheels tires and find they rub

Essex' page says that 17x8+35, 17x8+45, and 17x9+35 all fit. I would think that 17x8.5+40 would also fit, since it's squarely between the 17x8+45 and the 17x9+35, but @JRitt would be able to give you a definitive answer, since he's the AP Racing guru.

Not sure, might wanna contact Oakos directly on that one since they're the only vendor I've seen that carry a 17x8.5 RPF1 that fits our cars.

The 17x9, +35 model fits on stock suspension. Looks better too (flat face; slight concave).

I've found no less than 5 sets at 17x8/17x9 in the past 6 months. I've was offered a 17x8 set for $1200 shipped about 2 months ago. Contact schmykel on jdmstyletuning.com and he'll help you.
