Ducktail spoiler for 2017 BRZ?
Hi guys, I am looking for a ducktail spoiler for my 2017 brz. I realized that my trunk is different from the previous models. It has 6 holes (3 on each end of the trunk) and I was wondering if you guys know of a spoiler that would be able to cover those holes?
I am looking into the Rallybacker ducktail spoiler but I am unsure if it will cover the holes. Any suggestions? Last edited by rmar93; 10-05-2017 at 12:51 AM. |

I don't think there will be any to cover the '17 holes...the spoiler you posted starts off hopeful as you can clearly see the lip extending 1/3 of the way across the trunk. But looking at how inset the '17 holes are, I don't believe the aggressive taper of such a lip will cover the most forward hole.

SeidoWorks tail looks amazing! I emailed the company a few days ago and unfortunately they aren't producing those anymore due to some legal dispute.

I think your best bet is to have a body shop fill the holes, and paint match your wing at the same time. The holes are way further in unfortunately. I appreciated that the TRD wing covered the stock holes for the 13-16 cars.

Another option would be to just trade trunks with somebody who wants the 2017 spoiler and start with just a blank trunk that doesn't have any holes to begin with.

In a perfect world I would love to see drambeenie or someone else make small risers that are about the height of the stock 2017 wing stands or as tall as drambeenies stands with a base the is front to back longer yet incorporates the stock 2017 holes as to fit a larger carbon GT/voltex style wing that sits very low to the trunk. maybe even a base/riser that fits like the SARD LSR wing base that clamps from the sides of the trunk and at the same time comes further in the make use of the 2017 wholes as well. That way you would have a large surface area on the top side of the trunk and include two different securing methods to make sure everything stays on firmly. The wing would sit like this password jdm one... maybe a little higher. http://passwordjdm.com/images/products/9476_2.jpg obviously the password jdm one was made to cover the holes in the older style trunks which is why its extra low and covering the whole back area. But you get the idea. |

Just confirmed with FT76speedfactory that the TRD spoiler does not cover the OEM holes of the limited 2017. Only one left up in the air is the Leg Sport Clubman spoiler.
Dang shame, finding a new spoiler will be a challenge. |
