If the heavier and more powerful FRS is actually more efficient than the already frugal for a sports car MX-5 (as the spec sheet claims), I'll be really impressed.
Dude my buddy's 2012 v6 mustang gets 35 mpg based on what his tach says. I wouldn't doubt they would make it 30mpg. I mean why did they leave the i-6 market? To be more fuel efficient

Ok, so the 400 lb heavier and FWD manual Scion TC does the 0-60 in 6.5 with 20 less HP. Are we looking at 6.0 here for the FT?

You take your primo fuel... I'll run Ethanol and we can see what happens lol... If the ECU is easily programmable like current subarus or my car, then the port and direct injection system will allow more than enough ethanol to be tossed in to allow ALOT of power output.

PLEAS TOYOTA PUT IN A SCOOBIE ECU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna tune the hell out of this thing!

For all the people on north American shores there will only be 1 model released as a scion we probly won't get the low spec and iv had 3 dealers here in Canada hint at a price around 27-28k....
We get Shafted because of the way scion releases there cars!

For the record, the MX-5 and RX-8 both have FMR layouts: The engines are behind the front axles, making both cars front-mid-engined.

Now that I think about it, the TC's 180 hp is fully available at 6000 rpm and the TQ at 4100, much sooner than 7000 and 6600 on the FT

Options

Here are the option specs I just translated from the sheet (I can't quite read the audio specs and the details on the fabric, but everything else should be correct):
