Who said anything about reving the pissed out of it? It was my time on a track so I didn't push very hard, and it was a lead follow...

Im not calling anyone an asshole except myself for taking a brand new car and beating the shit out of it. It was by the grace of God and Toyota, lol, that I got my new motor through warranty.

Hey @Lantana frs ..... up here in the PNW, where we ( @brzbrad ) have mountains (like 14,000'), we have to drive like that to get a run on them ..... not like Florida, where your highest "mountain" is 300 ft high .......

Mine at 72k failed last sunday driving normally. Bottom end and head noise. I should be getting it back tomorrow, and hopefully they found the problem with the original motor.

Out of curiosity, is there going to be any compensation from the dealer even though you're out of warranty?

When I blew up my first WRX, I showed the service manager a NASIOC post with a list of 09 failures and it helped (dude was also a good guy and ended up becoming a good personal friend afterward).

So having this thread may actually help a few people with SoA and the dealership.

I wish everyone luck who has issues. And am crossing my fingers I don't end up blowing up another Subaru.
