SCDA driving school at New Hampshire Motor Speedway 6/3

I just registered for the SCDA driving school at NHMS on June 3rd. I haven't been confirmed yet, but I expect to be there with my FR-S.

Anyone else interested? I'll be at this event as a student (I instruct at the BMW club events).

Excellent! I'm looking forward to a day at the track without any responsibilities beyond myself.

Looks like the forecast is calling for rain on Monday. Now I'm wondering if I should stick to the stock tires or use a half used set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports I have sitting in the shed.

What tires are on the car right now?

If there are puddles, more tread is better. If the pavement is just wet - no standing water - stickier tires still work.

If it rains hard, I'd use whatever tires have more tread.

Luckily for me, I have a new set of BFGoodrich Rivals, so I'm covered no matter what.

Right now I have the stock Primacy HP tires and they have a lot of tread left. My other tires are probably at 50% or lower.

Seems stock tires will be the way to go.

If you have room, bring the second set of tires... you never know what the weather will bring. But, I'd side with the ones with more tread just in case. You'll actually learn more with tires with less grip also. Sticky tires definitely cover your mistakes.
