opinions on mesh wheels on an fr-s
I can't decide on wheels... once my ae sells I will be purchasing wheels.
I'd like to run a decent fitting "older" style mesh wheel (work vs)... just don't know how well it'd work with such a modern looking car. SO... multi-piece mesh wheels or single piece concave wheels..? |

I'll be honest, I've contemplating the process of putting together a set of BBS RSs for this car. I've already got a set in 5x114.3, so assuming the barrel and center have enough clearance, I'd just need to get a new lip and have the holes filled and redrilled. Just trying to decide how much I trust a redrill :/

not a fan of rs personally.
currently looking at a set of vs mesh with step lip.. just in silver. think something like these would look dated though... i can't decide. |

I think it will look perfect. Mesh design is ageless. I was thinking of putting a set of rs as well, if not maybe some vsxx

With an excessive drop, mesh has a unique attractiveness on modern Japanese cars. It's like Keri Russell. Many won't find her that attractive, but for those who do there is no substitute.

Aside from the bbs rs and work vs-xx. I might choose the modern route and go custom with a ccw classics. I dont know yet, because I want them all, but thatd be way too expensive. Plus I need a street pair that i dont mind getting beat up

Here you go. These are Work VS-XX on a white FR-S. It's real, but the drop is Photoshopped. They are 18x8 with a 38 offset. I'll attach the regular picture too, but the gap is huge haha.
