Im planning to buy work emotions cr kai 18x9.5 +38 offset w/ 255/35/18 tires on them. what lowering springs would be the best for me without having to roll my fenders or not having a rubbing issues on any fenders, and not have to adjust my camber please let me know. and by the way how are the tpms sensor gonna work now if I buy/install these sets of wheels? do i have to get customize sensor? or what? and will lowering the car would void any type of warranty thanks

If you get new sensors, you not only have to pay for them but you also have to pay the dealer to register them to your car. I wouldn't. Either get them swapped or deal with the yellow light.

Another question
Using the calculator on the site ( I'm assuming it's accurate ) I'd need to have 225's on the front for some stretch and 235's on the rear. Yay/nay? Or am I missing something? For those who don't know what wheels I'm looking at: Front 18x.8.5J ET40 Rear 19x9.5J ET40 |

Ideal tire widths (i.e. no stretch) would be 245/35 for the 8.5" fronts and 265 or 275 for the 9.5" rear wheels. |

^My STi's stock setup was slightly stretched at 245 (/40 I think) on a 18x8.5" wheel. I had to be careful setting them down as the tire wouldn't protect the rim.
The tire design will make a big difference here, though.

This is the best I have. Doesn't show really well, though.
But like I said, it's a really slight bit of stretch. The same size Federals would probably be square or even bulge a tad. Sometimes I think I should have kept these.

Yes, different makes are different widths.
i.e. a Conti 245 may be narrower/wider than a Bridgestone 245, but within each brand (or model) they are comparable to each other. Same goes for treadwear ratings, they mean nothing unless compared within the brand. My Contis are listed as a 340 treadwear, but they are comparable to other brands in the 200's. As a sharp contrast, the stock Michelin Primacy are rated at 240 treadwear. No way are they stickier than the Contis! Here are some pics of my Conti Extreme Contact DW in a 245/35R18 on a 9" wheel. vs stock wheel & stock sized Michelin winter: from inside the wheelwell: outside view: |

I've got to buy some new rims today, as in right now. Will 17x7.5s fit the stock tires?

This may have been answered, but I am having a hard time finding it. How does the wheel fit chart on the other thread address camber? Specifically, I am wondering if I have a one inch drop, how much camber is required to get a 245 tire on a 18x9 +45 flush in front? Same question but for an 18x9.5 +45 in back. I like the wheel sizes, but I do not want to run tons of camber (or basically more than what a decent handling street car should have.) Thanks.

And since you state that you will be dropping by 1", you will likely be running at least -1 camber or more if camber bolts are used. So they won't fit for sure. Adding negative camber will pull the top of the wheel closer to the strut. I am running 18x9 +35 and only have 7mm clearance between the strut and rim. Ideal offsets for those wheels sizes would be: 18x9 +35 18x9.5 +40 |
