Tuckdaddy's FR-S

Figured i may just make a build thread as a place for me to reference and log everything i've done to the car!

I've always been around anything off road and learned to drive on a decked out 99 wrangler sport with the straight 6 manual lockers and everything! Initial plan was to enjoy that as a beater when i turned 16 and got my license, didn't have ABS and that wasn't sitting too well with my mother. I've never really been a Toyota fan but when we went to look at vehicles i determined a truck was the way to at the time and ended up in an 07' TRD Offroad 4x4 DCSB Tacoma! Loved that truck and abused the ever living shit out of it offroad. Gas prices shot up and no longer found a good reason to justify the $70 tank of gas for a midsize truck.

I started looking around to trade in on something and had these couple cars on my short list, Gen Coupe 3.8 track loaded, BMW 335i, lexus is350 f sport, Audi A4, boss 302 and a C4 Zr1. My mom always brought up the BRZ and FR-S and i continually shot it down due to the paper specs.. I eventually caved in and weighed the fact i'd get a killer deal (4th car through dealership) help a buddy out and have a kickass service department at Toyota of Boerne!

Speed up to august of last year and decided to buy an FR-S, really wanted a BRZ limited but didn't want to wait a year for one. Never got to test drive the FR-S but did get to sit in one at the dealership. Placed and order and come September took delivery of my 2013 asphalt FR-S! After i took delivery and drove it so happy i went with the FR-S over the cars i looked at with far more power.

About 5,800 miles into ownership i caught the dreaded CEL, threw it about 7 more times before they fixed it and have since had 13,000 problem free miles!

Enough of how i got to the FR-S, on to a list of mods,

Engine and performance
-WORKS drop in filter
-Perrin silicone inlet tube black

Brakes
-Stainless lines on all four corners
-Front pads - Hawk race compounds
-Rear pads - Hawks HPS's
-Fluid - Motul RBF600
-New rotors eventually

Suspension
-Stock for now

Wheels and Tires
-Stock OEM wheels
-Michelin pilot super sports 215/45/r17

Exterior cosmetic
-Stock
-Clear side markers

Interior cosmetic
-Center column padded panels
-Padded speaker grills
-Katzkin leather seats (front and rear)
-OEM center armrest (installed)

Lighting and Electrical
-Hardwired radar
-Kahtec smart stop module 3rd brake light (soon to be installed)

Audio
-Shitty OEM bespoke unit

Some pics of my truck and the car!

Need to dig for some more pictures and take some good photos of the car! If you have any questions by all means ask! Thanks for looking!

I, too, went from a Tacoma to an FRS. The biggest adjustment for me has been the ride height as I've always driven trucks.

Kind of updated the OP a bit. Ticked 24,000 miles today (car has been drivable for about a year), still problem free. Still have condensation in my tail lights and will likely have my 5th set of seals or 4th set of tail lights warrantied at my next oil change.
