If someone is gonna try and steal your gas they won't be opposed to prying the tank open. Maybe the quick latch would prevent damage in that case lol

So I finally got my gas cap fitted... I'll post pics once I primer it. Very happy with the end result!
Now I can move onto a small detail I haven't mentioned before... after that detail is completed, I'll primer, paint, and clear my passenger side overfender and just clear coat the driver side overfender. Then it will be time to pull some rivnuts, scuff up some metal, and 3M panel bond my rear overfenders. Things should start to pick up... IG @zeal.eightsix |

Oh... I am officially joining the big wang gang!
I know it is not for everyone but it adds a wild factor to my build... so much of my build is under the car and under the hood that I wanted to make at least one thing on my exterior really pop... so I went with a chassis mount wing. My build is race inspired but I don't and will not race my car so I don't care whether or not the wing has gone through any sort of testing that proves it is actually functional. I'm sure it is functional at some high speed though... but I am installing it for the aggressive and wild look. Just saying in case anyone wants to chime in on how dumb, worthless, and or waste of money they think big wangs are. That doesn't happen here often but omg people love to hate on Instagram... so many internet warriors there. So I bet you are wondering which one I went with...drum roll.... I went with the Battle Aero chassis mount swan neck (74 inch). I felt it was the less bulky and the best looking of the options available... I looked at several brands but settled on the Battle Aero wing because of the aforementioned reasons. I ordered the FRP version because I am going to paint the wing... I saved a little bit on my order by asking for the wing to be unpainted or unwrapped. IG @zeal.eightsix |

Does chassis mount mean it actually bolts into the frame of the vehicle somehow?

Having installed one. I wouldn't recommend them haha. It was missing hardware and there are no instructions. Didn't fit the best either. I had to drill the holes out because the hardware didn't fit... Interested to see how it turns out on your car though.

Uh oh. Well if there are any fitment or quality issues, I'm sure @zeal86 will not accept it, as he only puts the best quality stuff on his show car. We'll have to wait and see.

Not to derail the direction you decided to go in, but this spoiler I saw in the Kouki thread looks pretty nice and aggressive:

Like @Clipdat mentioned... if the parts look like dog shit I won't hesitate to make a stink about it. Crossing my fingers I get a solid product. IG @zeal.eightsix |

Okay... finally getting around to posting an update..
First off... I ordered my Work Meister L1 3-piece wheels today... I decided to go with a Glossy Black Anodized Barrel with Matte Black Faces to add a bit of contrast. I added Gold Pierce Bolts and Gold Work Wheels Decals to my order as well. 18x11 and 18x13 are my sizes... I was also accepted for sponsorship by Toyo Tires. I'll be running 295 front and 315 or 335 in the rear. Also got around to the following! IG @zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 05-04-2018 at 02:17 PM. |
