I guess what most people do is they don't paint the carbon fiber, as I have read, carbon fiber will fade, or cloud up upon extended time in the sun. I believe @Sportsguy83 had/has a seibon CF hood and color coded matched it to his car.

If you were talking to me, mine came from direct from the only Aussie Seibon importer around. Took about 10 weeks.
Insurance bought mine for me. As to the hazing, etc...my car is parked in a garage overnight but out in direct sun during most of the day. I have yet to see clouding/hazing, etc. When I get a chance, my insurance is paying for the front end to get ceramic pro reapplied after the repairs. |

yes they are wide open. Yes you can find covers that will fit them. No you don't need them, water inside the engine bay won't kill your engine as long as it's not standing water.

Note VIS hood however has a built in rain guard tray. I haven't yet been able to have someone confirm 100% that (with) rain guard tray in if any hot air can escape or not??

I hear ya hence why I like the rain guard idea. But when you look at VIS site looks like the under panel rain guard portion has staggered vents which leads me to believe air can still get out. I'd love for this to be confirmed.

It looks like they placed the vents on the rain guard offset from the vents in the hood. There's 3 hood vents, and only 2 rainguard vents, so I'd say YES air can still exit through the hood, but not as efficiently as with the rainguard removed.
I've seen this hood and it looks to me to have the most vented area (hood vent area) of all the hoods available. The other hoods I saw had small, thin openings on the vents. The VIS hood looks like it lets a LOT of air out. I'm getting one someday. |

those are seibons CF fenders and hood. Installed last night. the hood fitment is spot on, same with the driver side fender fitment. i notice the pass fender by the front wheel well area is a little more caved in than its supposed to be. Doesn't really bug me but it is an issue. also mounting holes for clips and bumper retainer on the fender had to be wallowed out a bit to get best fitment. |
