I don't know if you heard me mention this at the last weekend drive, but for you GT6 players there is the ability to design and share custom tracks now in the game... with the help of @mkivsoopra I got user-created tracks that replicate Buttonwillow, Thunderhill 5-mile, Thunderhill West... and I started mapping a few local drive routes as well... if you're my friend on PSN you can go into GT6 and view my shared tracks, and copy them to your profiles as well...

That is friggin sick! Gonna have to try T-hill, thanks P!

Ya, I remember we were all talking about how awesome it would be to map out T-hill or one of our drives but the features took forever to be released and it never happened. Noticed less and less people were doing the weeklies so I didn't have much incentive to keep playing. I've been on Dirt Rally for god knows how long now (steam says I've put in 168 hrs on it, yikes!) so I'm sure my brain will have to recalibrate to the GT6 physics again.

I'm still downloading updates. It's been going for almost 4 hours now. I'm on update 9 out of 21. Each update is 800mb to 2gb.

Sorry
I might have to cancel the drive for tmr.
I'm in the area now and it's been raining all morning
The road going be very slippery tmr so I have to cancel it or postpone it for next weekend instead.
It's a great drive but very dangerous after the rain
Sorry again for the late announcement

Nothing wrong with that. I'm in the similar school of thought and won't be going.

I wouldn't completely cancel it though since there have been others who were interested. I'd post up a rough route and who ever feels comfortable leading and is familiar with the route can take over.

Better safe than sorry... Maybe for those who are interested, plan a more casual meet n' eat somewhere instead of a drive? Anyone who was otherwise planning to do the drive, can sleep in a little more then get together for breakfast or lunch somewhere? Open to suggestions (I'm free all day Sat so might as well do something haha)

OK I've taken the event off the calendar, considering it CANCELLED for tomorrow. I too will sleep in, or at least not decide if I want to go for a drive until I wake up whenever that might be. If I do decide to go for a drive I will post up but it won't be very much advance notice.

I can't seem to figure out how to import these. Could you tell me the exact process? Where is the "view my shared tracks" link?

I won't be back home until late but if I recall right, you go to the Community section of GT6... scroll through your friends until you find me. Then there should be a tab in my profile that lists my shared tracks.

From there I think you can test drive, or save those tracks down to your own set. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll look at it when I get back in front of my PS3...
