I just really hope this doesn't spur on inexperienced 18 year olds getting their parents to buy the car for them, end up rice-ing it out, and crashing it because they think are ken block.
Yay for my insurance going up...

If they sent 5 to the shoot it means most likely it is in more than a few scenes and will probably get wrecked at some point. If it was just an extra they would only have one, or two if they needed an interior shot.

This is going to spawn the "I had a BRZ before F&F6" crowd

When I tried to rent the first one I couldn't find it. I was looking in the "comedy" section. Definitely cheesey.

But they were already becoming rare to begin with, since they had already been out of production (at least for the U.S. market) for three years by the time the movie came out. Additionally, at the time it wasn't a bunch of kids wanting Supras and actually getting them. Its lifespan was cut short but a lot of people knew how capable the motor was, so the demand would've been there even without the movie. The Supra Turbo was already my dream car when it came out in the early/mid 1990s.

But that's what the FR-S is for, and they'll say it was "practically the same car but less expensive" and think that BRZ owners wasted the money. Problem solved.

If they pop the hood and there is nothing less of these fine power plants. I blame fear on the producers part. SEMA should step up and lobby this collaboration of Subaru & Toyota.

SWEET!

That's pretty quick of them to add the BRZ in F&F 6 movie.

Was going to go see movie regardless if either BRZ or FRS would be in it, but now I'm really anxious and curious as to what they'll do to the car in the movie.

Well, they are a popular car movie franchise, and it's nothing new... 2 Fast 2 Furious had LHD Evo VIIs (though a few used were dressed-up Lancers), Tokyo Drift had RHD Evo IXs converted to RWD (which hadn't been released by the time they were filming), Fast & Furious had a RHD GT-R on the set (pictured in a few behind-the-scenes shots but not used in the actual film) before it came out in the U.S., Fast Five had an LFA, etc.

I hope they don't fry the piston rings, or twist the chassis coming off the line.

Doesn't this movie appeal more to the FR-S crowd? No offense meant. Maybe the movie will be better than the previous ones. After Tokyo Drift I thought the franchise had gone off it's rocker, but 4 and 5 were considerably more tolerable, although they lost some of their comedic value, i.e. I couldn't find nearly as many cheesy quotes to repeat!

Dems fighting words

Feel like anybody who doesn't enjoy seeing a couple nice cars, hot women and more plot than The Expendables needs to reevaluate their opinion. This isn't The Shawshank Redemption, but nobody expects it to be.
