Take advantage of this deal, folks! I know a lot of people were hesitant to pay the shipping costs, so here's your chance to save.

Got the e-mail this morning. If you're on the fence, this is a good deal.

I've never had navigation in a car before and I have the standard FR-S stereo right now (not the touch screen) so can someone help me out a bit.
How does this do navigation? I assume the GPS antenna pulls your location and gives you turn by turn right? You don't have to load the maps in there beforehand do you? |

I don't have an answer on the MCU issue, but I did have to ship mine back to China as well. It only took about 3 weeks (US Post) and they sent me the shipping fee by PayPal. It was annoying but not awful.

Can one not just dump the ROM with the "special" launcher and apps, and then recode them to work for 4.1-4.4.4 and/or L?
Then load all of that onto a Nexus tablet. I'd much rather have the Nexus 7/8 with far superior specs and updates and support than this. Not to mention 1/3rd the price.

4.4 alone would be nice, it has far better performance on low end hardware. Though we might just have to wait for the next version of the headunit for 4.4 or L
