Hes the expert, I'm going to watch it for now. Summer rims and tires are in the works so won't be an issue for long anyway.
I would run away from that tire shop and never return....

Generally, it would be considered a blessing to be able to leave a tire shop and never have to return...

Put the summer wheels on: OZ Ultraleggera 17x8. But I think I need more (less?) offset. Spacers on the way....Probably should have waited on the Leggera's in +35...but didn't want to run winter tires until June!

Yeah, I can totally understand why they usually ride slowly; what I don't get is why they have such an aversion to letting faster traffic by. There's no group of motorized vehicle operators on the roads (that I can think of, anyway) that is worse about using turnouts or letting people by on straights. It's really strange. I don't know why they work so hard at antagonizing everybody around them... if I were riding a bike and wanted to go slowly (which I would, because bikes look scary as fuck), I'd be letting people pass all the time because usually when you hold people up for miles and miles they do incredibly dumb shit like tailgating the fuck out of you or passing through blind corners, etc. The last thing I'd want as a person sitting on a bike would be being surrounded by angry people in cars and trucks.

Exactly. I picked up a screw in the same location of my right-rear @ 5 k miles. Discount Tire refused to patch it.
I used the forced replacement as an excuse to get a full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports and haven't looked back!

A lot of people treat Harleys as a solely a lifestyle choice. They're essentially posers trying to be "outlaws". Almost always seen with little to no gear on. Most often found at bars or acting as a massive rolling road block. Occasionally found in towns blipping their throttles at stop signs and red lights. Oftentimes claims anything that isn't a Harley isn't a "real bike". Always suffers from inadequacy and penis envy.

@N1rve's comment got me looking. I did some research and most repair shops would have refused to repair that tire. I called Discount Tire in the nearest town, they have a replacement ordered. I'm having it installed tomorrow.

Ha...it's funny because my dad has Harley's and he doesn't ride around in packs like most around here do...he says he doesn't like to ride with others because they are "annoying"
