Titan T-S5 wheels

So I’m seriously considering a set of these wheels in 18x9.5 with a plus 40 offset I believe (could be a 38 offset). Anyone have any feedback as to if they are good wheels etc and what’s a good price to pay for a set?

I see FT86 has me listed for around 1.8k USD.

Titan wheels are good, not my ultimate favorite looks wise but definitely solid value for a forged wheel. Lots of dudes run them at the track. $1.8k USD is pretty inexpensive to get a good forged wheel anyways so that's a decent price IMO. (Evasive has them listed at ~2k) You might be able to negotiate with a smaller company to get a couple hundred off, but I doubt it honestly. I'd say just pull the trigger

Just FYI if you're still on stock suspension you'll almost for sure need to run coilovers on that size wheel, especially if it's +40 offset-- you'll likely be touching or extremely close to rubbing the perch depending on tire size. Only 245/35/18 or narrower will fit on stock suspension on 18x9.5 +38 (+40 has even less clearance), but that's already slightly stretched and if your tire runs slightly wide you still might rub. Ideally you'd want to run 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 on a 9.5 wide wheel but neither of those tire sizes fit on stock suspension.

Thanks gents.. appreciate the feedback. I did pull the trigger and got the wheels. I’m going to install Tein Flex Z coilovers this weekend and then mount the wheels. I went with 255/35/18s for tires.

What are you lowered on and how much is the drop? And are those 245/40's or 255/35's?

Any rubbing at full lock?

One last question! How do you feel about the added weight? Even though these are light for their size, overall, with the larger tires, it's probably heavier, correct?

Any particular reason to continue using this thread rather than an older http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118834 ?

They are 255/35.. It’s actually not lowered at all. It’s in the stock height setting. I haven’t driven it a lot yet. I’ll get it aligned this weekend and I’ll report back.

Lifting the wheels and tires when mounting them I feel like net the new wheel/tire combo is still lighter given the increased tire size.

@WC-BRZ

So got it aligned and drove it. Here are my thoughts

1) drives almost stock in terms of compliance goes compared to the Sachs dampers.
2) annoying squeak from the front driver side. I’m going to take it all apart and install it again to see what’s causing it
3) when going up driveways.. the rear bumper rubs where the blk tabs are. Dremel / stiffening the rear damper should take care of that hopefully
4) no rubbing at full clock

Update...

1) dremel worked perfectly in getting rid of the rubbing issue in the back.
2) WD40 got rid of the squeak in the front driver side

Driving this car now with these problems sorted out is simply what I was looking for since the day I decided to do all of these mods.

I can sincerely say.. I do not want to get out of the driver seat anymore. I just want to sit in it and keep in driving forever. Absolutely love the car!!
