I'm not sure, but it has worked for some people who've replaced the driveshaft, and is relatively easy to try and doesn't involve buying parts. It might be that the pinion yoke is balanced separately, so when the driveshaft is bolted up, there is potential for the balancing effects on each to interfere. Again I'm not positive tho.

All that totally makes sense. Thanks!

It would seem to me that the first step would be to measure the pinion angles.

If they were "off", then, since the transmission is aftermarket, to move the transmission up or down or rotate the differential.

I'd still have the driveshaft checked for balance.

Easy for me to say, as I ease in the air conditioned bedroom to take a looong Sunday afternoon nap

I can testify from firsthand observation that the front diff mounts give a lot. It looks like one could get a couple degrees of adjustment with some shims.

Also, do you have a local shop that can verify the integrity of your new driveshaft?
No shop local, and I have tried that. Gonna pull the driveshaft and use the shaft end to check angle.
