We've also done a couple of trips to a VR Arcade when on vacation and played 4 up in some VR games using the Vive. I highly recommend Elven Assassin, but you can't get that on PS/VR.

I'm hoping the flight sim Microsoft is releasing "any day now" will be VR aware. If it is I will have to spring for a PC VR headset.
I almost bought DOOM VR last night but I wasn't even finished downloading the other 3 games I bought so I slapped myself on the wrist and got off the store.

Today's to-do list: play with spreadsheets until I make sense of my director's inane requests to distill down extremely specific points of data from massive amounts of raw data in an attempt to show items that might not actually be as important as he says they are. Giving him exactly what he wants also seems impossible because he's pulling me in a new direction every week.

It's not that. It's just the request doesn't make any sense. Or at least, I'm struggling to figure out exactly what he wants me to show him. And when he explains it, it sounds like what he wants is actually pretty useless. So I'm having a hard time seeing the point. I've created at least 5 new spreadsheets trying to make sense of this stuff and haven't really gotten anywhere. I'm glad I can finally fill a day with something, but I hate this new direction because it just doesn't seem worth it.

There was a reason the entire US switched from crappy ales to lagers years back when the Germans came and introduced the much smoother, much better lagers. You remember their names; Coors, Hamms, Bush, Shlitz, etc.. Make a great lager or pilsner and I'll be impressed. Any monkey can brew ale. The micro brew explosion after home brewing became legal in the 80's produced a lot of people who think they can brew.
I heard Bud is tasty straight from the factory, but I've never been and it always tastes watery and dull to me. At a baseball game, I can get heavily buzzed off one 808 or Denogginizer, but I need 3-4 Bud lights to do the same, and then I'm in the bathroom every other inning.

I'm not an IPA fan, but hops certainly have smell and flavor and can be interesting. I had an ale the other day that was very hoppy but not bitter. I thought that was interesting and I could have had more.

If I want something super easy to drink, I'll get a hefeweizen. Well, really, I'll get water. I drink beer for the flavor and alcohol.

What I really like are stouts, especially barrel-aged imperials. Shadow Puppet Liquid Midnight and New Holland's Dragon's Milk are recent favorites.

This isn't so much an argument as a wondering of why bother drinking American light lagers when they're so flavorless?

I've been drinking a lot of ales/lagers lately because they are just the best thing to have with food (especially spicy food) and I like a beer with dinner. But I'm with you, stouts, especially barrel aged, are my favorites. I love them as dark and heavy as possible. If it pours like oil and you can't shine a light through it, it's my kind of beer.

I can't even stand the stench of those things! A nice light lager wins for me.

Whaaa but they smell so good sometimes! Some do smell like a burnt barrel, but I prefer them a bit more subtle. I especially like when they taste like a cup of strong coffee.
