Just a few quick notes before we run off to clean the car and hope for some good food:

Abundant torque certainly makes freeway driving more fun.

Dyno testing is great for getting power charts, but all the magic happens on the road. When you are at 6000 feet and it's 0 degrees out, it's just a shade different at 0 feet and 80+ degrees out. Dyno's don't put the load on the engine the road does, either, specially not climbing passes.

Sadly, I've got the cel/idle issue. On real long drives, when come to a stop the exhaust cam no.2 is sticking in full advance. Idles massively rich then. We've been logging it and starting to pinpoint the issue.

Gas mileage doesn't suffer, at 80+ mph, the car with two heavyweights, a full load of gear, and big wide sticky tall tires is still doing doing 28mpg up the passes, and 30+ in the hills. Haven't seen any flat sections in a while...

As Ross puts it - USDM gas sucks.

92 octane where I'm at, and I know others are worse.

I'm sorry you guys are seeing the CEL issue, but I know its a blessing in disguise because you/aftermarket is probably going to find the best solution to the problem and I'd rather pay you to fix it when its figured out than have toyota take my car for days, their technicians flog my car around (and break the bumper like that one guy) and then return it with the CEL issue coming back a few days later...

Good job on the kit, wish you guys success and cant wait to see more info!!

In regards to the CEL/Idle issue - we did see when and where it did happen on the dyno, and when the car was ok. It was intermittent as well, definitely a gremlin that Subaru needs to work out, if we don't just fix it ourselves first.

You normally can, your payments won't change but it usually goes toward the payoff.

No, we haven't gotten one on it, and it's been through an even more rigorous beating than the FR-S. The CEL issue came up on the FR-S before the turbo kit, so we know it's not related to it. It actually came about after the trip from Seattle to L.A. for Subiefest and 86Fest, so we know it's not related to the turbokit.
