Had the BRZ for about a month, went to my first car show in London
Lambos there among other pretty sick rides
I was the only BRZ there, not to mention the only Aozora (series.blue).
Had a good amount of people come up to me about it, feels good


Couple girls walking around taking pictures, figured I might as well

My girlfriend told me that she had to wait on two guys on a corvertible BMW who were gawking at my car so she could park at the parking lot of our apartment building. I asked her to give me details...."well, they were all over your car...you would be so proud" jajajaja she was like "boys being boys" she says " "their faces were as if they were watching porn" jajaja apparently then they noticed she was waiting on them to move and got on their car and drove off. Jajaja My car is stock on looks, except wheel spacers, yellow foglights and hotchkis springs...

Yesterday, one of the secretaries at work who is on her 50s got to see my car beside hers and interviewed me on my car....make? Motor? Ect.... She want a ride jajajajaja she was really impressed on the "sport race car" look of the car and "i cant believe its a scion!!!!" those were her exact words. Jajaja

I knew i was going to have fun with my frs, but its a lot more than i expected.

I almost got sideswiped by some 20 something girl texting while driving just this afternoon. If I hadn't noticed the phone propped up on the wheel when I came up beside her she would have got me for sure.
Sweet part was the cop behind me also got a good look at the phone and the fact she drifted halfway into my lane.

So not much is progressive in Texas generally speaking, but Austin has just instituted a law against doing ANYTHING with a hand-held electronic device (cell phone, iPod, whatever) while driving in the city. You are allowed to use a hands free device. Since I have bluetooth this is not a big deal, but if any driver is seen doing anything with an electronic device and their hands, it's a ticket.

This got changed from the old law against using cell phones to text while driving because the drivers would simply say "I was calling, not texting" to the judge and would get off. No more.

Last night I was on my way to the gym and I noticed a newer Pacifica riding my ass. I get to the gym and he parks right next me. He started asking the usual questions "What engine does that have? Is it fast?" etc... We probably talked for about 40 minutes and I found out he actually used to work where I do now, and in the same position. He was telling me about his '04 XJ and we're going to set something up for a little photoshoot once it warms up.

My inner car salesman also kicked in and I found out he's in the market now for his daughter and will be for himself in the next month or two. New friend and potential customer, score!

I have passed out over 20 of my sales person's cards so far! Not sure if she has sold any from it but if even one buys it is a sale she may not have had.

Totally forgot about this one time I was in the left turning lane waiting for cars to pass. So I was just looking at cars and seeing what the people were doing. There was a cobalt with a guy behind the wheel and a girl in the passenger seat. High school age. Looked like they were goofing around in the car, and at one point she sees me...Immediately she punched the guys shoulder and starts pointing at my car like she saw the newest lambo or something. Made me smile for the rest of my trip

I actually didn't have any of my cards on me at the time. The first thing I did when I got to work this morning was put about 20 in my wallet haha.

Do you get a referral bonus from your sales person? If not it might be worth asking about. I know here we can give up to $200 to the referrer if they send us someone who buys.

Had my second encounter a few weeks back when I had to pick my girlfriend up from the airport. I'm sitting in the cell phone lot, waiting for the call and a young guy comes up and knocks on my window.

Said he's considering trading his RSX in on either one of these or a G37 coupe. I ran down all the pros/cons of the twins and how I traded something sort of similar to what he's considering in on the BRZ. He remarked that he never saw many around and I was the first person he had actually been able to talk to about the car, so I was happy to help him out.

In retrospect, I should've been more helpful and let him sit inside and showed him more of the car instead of just putting my window down and talking like a goon.

Hopefully he'll show up here one day soon.

I do! That is also why I wrote my name on the back of each card. I am hoping that come spring at least a few go in.
