So who is running Forced Induction and tracking their car?
Hows it holding up brahs? What setup are you running? Any problems with heat soak?
Thought we could get some Forced Induction track junkies to chime in as to how are their cars running for those who are looking to go FI and track their toyobaru.

I believe none so far due to over heat issues, so far only the pros are using FI like Evasive track car, Robispec going Innovate SC soon but dont know if he alrdy fix the E85 fuel starvation issue yet

Really, no one?! I was planning on running FI as soon as I get the funds and make sure the kits are reliable

Why don't you drive the car and learn how to drive this car on the track before you worry about power? Power is the last thing you should be worrying about on a road course. You gain much more time by driving properly than by bolting on FI

Because 99% of the time, the FI will be for use on straights on the street.
I don't deny it... I want FI so I can do highway pulls far more than what it'll do for me on the track. 400hp isn't very useable on track when you got more turns than straights... |

You might wanna aim for a smaller turbo if you think the turbo won't improve your lap times due to so many corners... |

I have tracked my car. Let's see here the car takes a lot of work handling wise to get back what you loose once you bolt all the weight over the nose. After two trips to Robi Spec and some pretty decent suspension upgrades. I'm starting to get the car back to it's roots of handling.
With the FI everything you do is amplified and that much more sensitive. If I where you try, e85 it really wakes the car up and adds a lot cooling to the motor. Gregg |

A guy I have tracked with now banned runs the vortech kit and he is having some heat issues we are also in Arizona so it becomes more of an issue here. He does put up really good track times and said he does not have to lay off the power so it can cool very much normally towards the end of the session and only for a few seconds to let it all cool back down.

A turbo car I've seen on track (VCMC with FullBlown kit) overheats after a few laps without major cooling modifications.

I mentioned above, I would like to wait until the tunes are perfected and proven as well as the kits. The car is still really new. I've owned two 03 cobras (both blown from the factory) and I left the scene for a couple years. You would be AMAZED at the amount of information that changed in those years as well as the new "requirements" for certain power mods. Time tells a lot, so this car will be modded VERY slowly in my case. For immediate purposes I was thinking of an E85 as @jdzumwalt suggested because, as he confirmed, adding weight over the nose is going to throw the balance of the car off. The car is just so perfectly balanced from the factory, I would hate to screw it up. |
