How's the daily driving experience? Throttle response? Thanks a lot.
I have OFT/JDL UEL + GS intake. I have just reflashed yesterday to load some adjustments to my MAF scaling. I drove about 70km to let the LTFT settle a bit and took some logs of 3rd gear pulls. I still need time for more learning.

Thanks for posting the log. Looks like you're running a bit leaner than I am. Your AFR is about half a point over command during your WOT pulls and mine tends to be half a point under command. Of course I have a bit of knock and you don't.

I'm trying to figure out what changes to expect after I install the intake, and after seeing your log I'm thinking I might run a bit leaner afterwards.

I wish I could get 94 octane -- you're lucky.

if your getting knock you can

run better fuel
run richer unless your already running rearly rich.
reduce timing advance.

generally if your getting knock leaning it out will make it worse on petrol. suggest you pull a bit of timing at the rpm\load area from the base-timing-B table pull a bit over half the knock correction you see and a bit from adjacent cells see knock correction thread below

For some reason the knock only seems to happen at cruise. I've only seen it 1500 - 3500 RPM. Same behavior on 93 and E85. I'm already running a bit rich in places, so don't think I'd want to run richer. I've got 2 sources available for E85 so I need to try the other to see if it's any better. If it's not, I'd be up for learning how to edit a few tables. It's only mild, transient knock, but still.....I'd rather eliminate it. Thanks for pointing out the knock correction thread. I'll definitely be checking that out.

Sorry to bump, but did anybody every verify if this is the case?

like would the intake + tune gains be the Stage 1 + 7whp?

yes you have not bad but some their

IAM is 0.88 should be 1
can see evidence on knock in kc learned curve 5000-6000 again not real bad
you rearly need to log
FLKC
Knock Correction FBKC
which are not in your logs

have a read of the ecu logging link and the knock correction links below

try some different fuels

Thanks for looking at that for me . I'll read your post about logging and try some different fuel + log the correct info.

I contacted them yesterday concerning getting a tune for this particular setup for my car. Should get an answer soon hopefully In my case it's not urgent, so I don't fret about it. I'll update when I get more news

FOR THOSE WITH OFH AND THIS INTAKE!

I am wrapping up a MAF scale that will make this setup shine. Will post it on the morrow if trims look good. So far I've gotten LTFTs down from peak 9's to 0.78 or 0.00

Love this setup. Very healthy, very fast.

-- EDIT

Here's the MAF Scale and instructions for altering your tune! You need RomRaider ECU Editor (www.romraider.com)

Grimmspeed Intake + OFH MAF Scale - 91 OCT - v1.03

60 mile commute this morning.. trims look great. No FLKC and low LTFTs. Really need a wideband O2, but this should ballpark people nicely that are running catless UEL, this intake, and 2.06 map. One more re-scale and it will be gtg. Expect it this weekend

How is the MAF scale coming along? I'd like to try it out if your still willing to share

Sorry for the lack of update! Valentine's day put a wrench (or prevented me from doing so, lol) in my final logs and tweaks. I will put out my baseline D00C bin file and MAF Scale in an excel file tonight.

It will need further refining to suit one's exact exhaust setup and to account for the variance in engines/drivetrain... but it's damn close and pulls hard!

Stay tuned
