For me, there is no glide in pulse and glide :p
FBM should be equally good and with all the supporting mods for their kit even better....short piping is the plus but trimming crash beam is

With no BOV the turbo flutters tututututu,I love that sound...but have read it's kinda hard on the turbo..dont think it's helping in any way....

Pretty much summed it up.

Though if you do go with another kit like FBM, you should consider their recirculating BOV. It should give you a smiliar (or same) effect that the Greddy kit has. You can also add a BOV to the Greddy kit but you will need to order a flange and have it welded on. I originally did that when I had my Greddy kit. Make sure you tune it with the BOV installed otherwise your tune will be off.

But is there any advantage to no bov other than sound?

I added a bov to mine and the fludder is still just as loud and sounds good. The fludder is loud enough u can't even hear the bov anyways.

Are you sure the BOV is opening and closing?

Haha its weird, I have the FBM kit and I wish I had gone with greddy. pm me if you wanna know the reason but I happened to have a bad experience. is yours a premium kit from fbm?

I went with the basic kit but upgraded the turbo and added coating to the intercooler piping. I haven't had any issue with the kit other than the piping of the hot-side of the turbo starting to melt my fan shroud. I might just wrap that piece of piping. Everything else seems to be functioning quite well.

I wrote a rather long post in my member journal regarding the power and heat soak issues of my Greddy Turbo kit for HPDE/time attack applications. Dynos included for both situations.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=195

TLDR - In general the kit is pretty strong for street use but if you want to run it for extended periods of time on track, you need a lot of cooling for the IAT, oil and radiator.

Additional Note: I also want to point out that the heat soak power loss is not limited to the Greddy Turbo Kit. Another FI FT86 was on the dyno the same day under the same conditions and the proportional power loss is similar. The test just happened to involve this kit. I'm still pretty happy with the Greddy and tracking a car with any kind of aftermarket FI is going to introduce issues and these happen to be the ones that cropped up with my setup.
