Those dynos are all basically the same in my eyes. You get the much variance between runs even with the exact same conditions.

thanks for posting this up and doing your own little experiments, much appreciated. So with this test it looks like all drop in air filters are useless and make no difference to power.

If you look at the stock filter it is very thin and prob one of the less restrictive oem filters i have ever seen. Dont think a drop in will bring much gain.

dyno's give you a very small window into a cars performance.......the shape of the power curve is FAR more important than its "peak" numbers....for example the Supra you posted is typical for a large turbo Supra power curve......HORRIBLE down low, then a HUGE spike in torque....makes driveability awful....there is reason you rarely ever see a Supra on a road course......

There already is a test with the Apexi drop in filter adding 2-3 WHP.
Its somewhere in the forum, I think car journals, Albino Racing something like that. |

The sound tube has a Diaphragm close to the firewall, that acts like a speaker to allow sound waves to enter the cabin. No air, only sound waves.
