Nameless Exhaust

I know I should probably just ask someone from Nameless this question but as far as I can tell alot of you out there have purchased there products.

So question is, I am about to purchase an exhaust. I want it to look good, sound good (deep, not to loud as this is a daily driver) and perform well.

I really like the Nameless Axle back. With that being said how much audible differance is there between the axle back and the axle back with the down pipe? I know the combo they sell keeps the stock mid pipe.

If I purchase the axle back without the down pipe will I regret it?

Personal experiences and comments welcome.

Buy the Axleback, see how it sounds and then decide if you want more. I bought both together but installed them at different times.

The sound tone is very similar between both.

Once you install the downpipe, it is louder (nothing obnoxious) and deeper sound.

Ive personally found that i like the deeper tone from the downpipe combined with the axle back much more than just the axle back alone...on startup it is much louder but once the timing drops out of - into + it quites up a bit until you go wot...then it just sounds great imo.

Make sure you go offset if you want deeper. It WILL get louder with the 2.5" downpipe/OP, but not overwhelmingly loud. I just ordered non-offset last night from Titan Motorsports. Starting with just the axleback while Nameless does some more header/downpipe testing.

Get the offset axleback version and get the helmontz resonated downpipe if you want something quieter or plan on adding a header.

No doubt about this. I got to listen to sparks BRZ and have just purchased the new 3" axleback with offset mufflers and power coated black.

Can't wait to get it installed.

If only I could've asked you before I bought one yesterday, would've been great to hear how it sounds in person first.

This is directly from Jason:

So, if you add the downpipe and compare the regular to the offset, the offset will be quieter.
So in conclusion, the Non-Offset is a bit LOUDER and DEEP.

The Offset-Offset is QUIETER and DEEPER.

Since I live in / love the 4-5k RPM range, I like the sound of "growls better" and DEEPER.

Once I get it shipped and installed, maybe I'll go visit sparks again and see if I can tell a difference between his 2.5" non offset and mine. Either way I'm sure their both great.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff, so I choose the 3" offset because I may add stuff down the road and from my reading on this forum it appeared to be the path to take. I hope I got that right.

You got it right. Of course, sound is a very personal preference. I personally wanted it sounding awesome but as quiet as possible as I've already done the super loud exhaust and it out grew me.

I've listened to friend @DGMBRZ with non-offset and no helmholtz and you can tell a difference between mine and his. BUT, even his does not sound obnoxiously loud. It is louder but nothing out of proportion. I love the way his car sounds and obviously love mine too.

Then what do the mufflers do? :O I thought mufflers make it abit quieter as well?
