If ya gotta get defensive after people give you the advice you ask for, then I don't think you should be considering anybody else but yourself in terms of being "below average intelligence". Especially considering the whole point of asking advice is getting.. ya know, opinions from different people on what you just asked about.

If ya just want people to say "ya doit man, totally understand what you're talking about! go right on ahead!!! *insert plenty of other charges*" then you're doing it wrong.

And ya should know better than to put a joke on the internet in text form for random people who don't know you to read. You basically come off as a jackass for complaining people didn't get your sense of humor.

On a side note, when oems use a turbo on a small car, it's designed to be turbo from the ground up and they hedge very different goals than you do.
Yep. Pretty par for the course really.

I never said I want to build a car that had original spec reliability. I said I’m going turbo and I want it “as bullit proof as possible” and yeah I’ve only got 10 post that means I’ve never turned a wrench. I guess the SC Miata, the SC M3 and the SC C7 don’t count. If I have to elaborate. The goal is to attempt to build the 86 that my tech friend and I wish Toyota had built. I’ve got the money and he’s got the next level skills I need to make sure it’s a tight build. In the end I will also upgrade the brakes and some minor suspension mods. I don’t want huge HP. I want respectable HP in the range that won’t ruin the spirit of the car. And anyone who has ever driven an Twin is lying if they say they would not want to drive one with a bit more HP.

Ok enough of this dirt throwing. I’ve done my research. I’m asking for opinions on quality packages. I don’t want to debate turbo vs SC. I don’t want to justify why I want what I want. I have tons of experience with both wrenching and driving. A am not 18 years old and I do not live in my daddy’s pool house. Any constructive opinions on a solid product are appreciated other than that please move onto another thread.

I would start off reading in the forced induction section (lots of info in there) and then post in there for technical advice if you still need it.

If you've done your research then you wouldn't need to make this post asking for opinions on solid products.

Seems to me like you want us to do your research for you.

Wrong. If that were the case we would not have a sub forum called:

Forced Induction
Turbo, Supercharger, Methanol, Nitrous

IMHO, that post was uncalled for .....

From your first post, you sounded to me, like a young, inexperienced driver/owner that was anxious to start power modding your new car and not understanding what all it involved.

Sorry, I bothered you with my post ......

Don't cows make methane? Here's an idea (below)...

As for turbo kits, do you have any specific kits in mind? If you've done some research, there has to be a few you like. I've found folks are more likely to get straight answers to specific questions about specific products. I'd recommend starting with what information you have found from your research and requesting what info you need to make a decision.

If you want a dd that lasts a long time, I would go SC over turbo. A lot less internal stress when you wot. Esp. with high hp and low torque.
