Also how are your 225/45r17 tires handling the power? I can’t launch at all. If I take off anything over idle I just spin all the way through 1st till 2nd. Maybe I need to change camber and or lower tire pressure in rears.
Install is scheduled for the end of the month. Will let you know with tires and my suspension setup.

To those who have the intercooled version and run an oil cooler do you run it in front of your of intercooler? If so does it affect your IAT? Or other performance aspects of the kit?

Map has a mocal based kit with either a 13 row for 399$ or 429 for a 19 row cooler.. rather spend this vs 850$ for the JR dual radiator...

This has been discussed a lot throughout this thread. But to save you some time. On the track IAT is hard to keep down, once intercooler is heatsoaked IATs gonup a lot and power goes down.

To help counteract this, E85 and or water meth, as well as hood louvre vents should be enough to help the intercooler. However you would not want to mount a oil cooler blocking airflow to intercooler.

So most people run the JR oil/rad cooler as it’s the easiest solution.
You can also modify the intercooler mount to run the two coolers in tandem (side by side)
Or you could run it in the “fog light duct area” but this has shown to have minimal airflow and you would probably have to get creative and or run one in each fog light area for efficient cooling.
you might be able to get away with a mishimoto rad and oem cooler if you can do E85, water/meth and hood vents. But longer track runs would be pushing it.

Another option i have been looking at to help the intercooler and keep IATs and overall temps down is called Peacekeeper HDS from USRT.

Tap a line and pump to the windshield washer bottle, connected to 7 mist sprayers, and you can spray washer fluid on your intercooler, radiator, and or oil cooler.

About 200$ looks pretty simple to install. seems like the best solution for IATs if your going to track this charger or do numerous back to back hard pulls. Some data i saw showed to keep the intercooler about 50F cooler under hard driving.

Keep that in mind! If I start to get more serious at the track I will look this up for sure. Here in CA I never use my windshield wipper fluid lol

Should be installing the intercooler kit on my car soon. Any advice or instructions to make it easy?

Thanks!

I installed a used intercooled kit and it's not that bad. The instructions are pretty solid but I would suggest these few things:

-upgrade the plastic barbs on the elbow to brass and ensure they have enough teflon to seal them correctly. It's a pain trying to remove them once you have the SC is on.
-Remove the PCV valve after you remove the old intake manifold and clean it or replace it with a new one. Once the SC is on you really can't get to it. I also put a clamp on it just to secure it better.
-Fill the sc with fluid before you mount it, it's easier to do so and check the fluid level. I think for this kit you want to be almost exact on the amount and don't want to go over as it can cause too much pressure and blow the seals inside
-I'd use worm clamps on the coolant hoses for the intercooler. the ones they provide sometimes leak.
-be careful when mounting the sc onto the intake manifold ports. you'll need an extra set of hands and will want to make sure you mount it flush and the sc manifold runner gaskets are sealing correctly so you won't have to unmount it.
- besides that I just followed the instructions Sprintex provides

Enjoy the wine and extra power!

Thanks! For clarification I'm just adding the IC kit to mine. Having a bad time trying to get the blanking plug off the rear. Don't want to uninstall the entire thing but I guess I may have to. Anyone have any luck with flex extensions? Anything at all?

Does anyone know the diameter of the black plastic intake tube/pipe, from the MAF to the throttle body?

I'd like to use a aftermarket air filter, and replace the plastic tube with a stainless steel pipe. But I need a MAF housing or MAF flange, but I'd ideally like to have the housing and intake pipe the same size.

Pretty much exactly like this, but with the intake pipe replaced as well.

Does anyone know whose car this is?

Does anyone know the dimensions and specification of the rubber o-ring gaskets for the rear housing of the supercharger - for the elbow from the throttle body to the rear of the supercharger?

My car is getting the valve springs as part of recall, and they insist they need to remove the rear elbow to get to the mounting point to lift the motor out, so they've asked me to supply a new suitable gasket.

Can they not just remove the SC before removing the engine?

I lifted mine out without removing anything off the SC just used a different point to lift the motor with no issues at all .

If it was me doing it, I'd do exactly the same.

However being Toyota, they need to follow the maintenance guide on what lift point to use (apparently).
