For rear wheel drive vehicles (non-directional and not staggered), I cross the front two to the opposite rear, then the rears straight up on the same side. I rotate mine at every oil change. When I have the front jacked up for the oil change, I swap the 2 front tires side-for-side while the oil is draining, then when I am done the oil change, it is a simple front to rear exchange to finish the tire rotation...works for me.

Again, I would put the newer tire on the right rear to start, then rotate as normal at your next oil change. It sounds like there is a 1400 mile difference between the original tires and the new one...that's not likely enough to make any difference. I wouldn't sweat it.
The stocks aren't, but loads of guys with aftermarket tires on here need to make sure they do not follow the stock rotation pattern.

Interesting that it differs between the twins (or MYs?)

Absolutely...agree 100%. That's why I added the non-directional and not staggered part.
I was responding to @PandaSPUR saying the Primacy tires were directional. I should have quoted...

I screwed that up once with directional. The results were more interesting than I would have guessed.

My bad, I just looked up a pic of the threads and assumed they were directional since they werent symmetrical.

No worries...I just wanted you to know they are not directional, so you don't have to worry about swapping sides when doing a rotation.

Sorry about confusing you, I did not know stock tires weren't directional. You can flip and flop however to get the best wear in that case.
What the hell is a primacy tire anyway?

The stock tire on most (not all for some reason). It is also what people call the "Prius" tire since it is used on the top speced Prius. They don't call it the "Lexus" tire even tough it is also used on them though.

My Dad's ES350 actually has the all-season version, in exactly the same size as my FR-S.

With just one tire... I would say don't rotate them. O.O just measure with tire gauge & put on according to thickness. Thicker one goes back thinner one goes up front.
