This is what I like to hear. While the price may be a significant drawback for some, it is undeniable that you are getting what you pay for. I can't wait till I have 6K sitting around to drop on the system.

Idk, looking at the telegraph article their testing statistics did not impress me, 14k street driven miles and 50 hours on a dyno are just proof of concept imo, especially if it was only on a single test car.

There are a few people with more than 50 hours on a racetrack on their kits and three to four times as many miles. I have no doubt that Cosworth has put together a solid kit but they are literally a year behind in terms of proving themselves not to mention they are also behind on gains without even considering the price they charge.

I'm glad the kit exists and is out there providing competition but it will take more than what they've shown to win my money in a few years.

That's fair. They are behind a bit. But still... given the Cosworth pedigree I feel safe.

With the E-force kit being significantly less money (rumored/expected) Cosworth gains are not worth cosworth money. Especially since their gains are net of all previous stages and appropriate tunes.

I think the telegraph hasn't quite got it facts straight

the total run time was over 300hours including a 50 hour continous run which was an endurance test
the endurance test was 45 seconds of full throttle, accelerating through the gears and then 15 seconds of low / idle speed before repeating the cycle
so a 1 minute cycle repeated over and over to achieve 50 hours total

this is in addition to the 14K miles on the dev car on a 2nd set of parts

so its comfortably the most tested kit out there before being released for sale and there are a few out there now all racking up the miles

will it be though?
Edelbrock kit is usually towards the top end so I'd expect it to be about $6000 for their kit compared to $6500 for the cosworth kit

and yes the cosworth kit includes an appropiate tune

just like all the other kits out there.....

Keep in mind that the edelbrock kit is on a CARB 91 octane tune. The cosworth is not.

@Icanfaptothis86

93 octane.

Not only is the Edel on 91 octane, But its on an Emissions tune. Where they can't exceed XXX of greenhouse gases.
In other words, on 91 octane w/ a different tune, it may yield better results.
