What exhaust are you going to switch to?
if you haven't fitted them yet it may be an idea to cut through the brace as its there to create room on the RHD cars as it prevents the header from 'springing' during the coating process

on a LHD car you have more space

After installing the smaller pulley and driving for a few weeks, I ended up switching to a smaller serpentine belt. 6pk2310. from 91.1" to 91". It would slip on the bottom port side one rib but not come off completely.
Also, a boost leak issue I think we might all have is from the intake tube connection to the stock air box. The clamp dents the plastic of the air box making it difficult to get a good seal if accidentally over tightened, and over time the clamp deforms the plastic.
Third, I cut holes in the metal under tray beneath the headers and it has greatly improved temps. This system doesn't need an oil cooler. Maybe a catch can would be smarter for when a boost leak does occur.

What kind of difference has this made in temps, and its it only the oil temp you have monitored?

I over tightened mine and it deformed the plastic intake pipe. I didnt get a leak though and run it that way for about to year until I got round to fitting and new one when I did the air filter. The clamp has a worm drive so the screw does not need to be tight at all to seal it.

Normal driving I get around 190-195F. Thrashing on the street I don't see much over 210F where as before I could hit 240F with ease. Coolant stays around 174F. No track data yet but I would assume maybe 20-30 degree improvement. I put 4 holes about the size of a playing card.

Have you considered the oem forester oil cooler? More or less to help warm oil up and then regulate it? Curious what your thoughts on it are.

I will be making the switch to a flex tune in the next week or so. Just waiting on some injectors to arrive. I am keen to see how the kit performs with this pulley and E85.
So now that the most awesome Matt at Cosworth got me running with the kit on my 2017 BRZ, i am curious what your impressions of the smaller pully are. Is it enough of a noticable difference to take the extra risk on the rod loading? Love the kit, But I am always interested a little more power.

For the record, I owe Matt a million thanks! You are an awesome dude Matt!

I wouldn't be too much confident to install a strut bar. The hood is quite flexible on high speeds. Even the 90 degree hose at the back of the manifold is rubbing the bonnet. You have to install a small piece of metal on the hood to avoid any problems. You can see this small piece of metal in the picture. I think it is part of the standard installation. I like their SC solution, but they are mainly engine builders and tuners. Meaning they focused basically on this aspect of the car without paying much attention on other areas like handling, weight, chassis strengthening etc. A better solution for my states was their stage 1 products, where there were not many (if any) compromises.

The smaller pulley gives a nice little bump in power. It is not a massive gain but levels it out a bit when racing against turbo kitted cars at around 10 PSI. My engine has been blueprinted and balanced whilst being rebuilt under warranty some years ago, and my valve springs have been shimmed etc, so I am not running a factory built engine per se. I have also just switched to Delicious Flex tune, and the car feels great on E85. Now I need to get it on a dyno to see how much has been gained. I am more concerned about the auto box not being able to keep up at this stage haha.
